About

Dania Ramos is a writer, educator, and producer specializing in cultural and community-focused creative projects. She is the creator and head writer of the award-winning audio drama Timestorm (Cocotazo Media). Her plays have been produced or developed by Luna Stage, Vivid Stage, Writers Theatre of New Jersey, Speranza Theatre Company, Repertorio Español, Teatro Vivo, Montclair State University, and Vanguard Theater Company. Her writing has been recognized by the Webby Awards, the Anthem Awards, Nuestras Voces National Playwriting Competition, the Henley Rose Playwright Competition, the International Latino Book Awards, the Sakura Medal, and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Dania is also the author of the middle-grade mystery novels Ignacio in the Dark and Who’s Ju?. Dania is a faculty member of the Wilkes University Graduate Creative Writing program. She brings over twenty years of experience teaching theatre and creative writing for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and other arts organizations. She received a master's degree in Creative Writing from Wilkes University and a BFA in Theatre from Montclair State University. She’s a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Kids Listen, and Actors’ Equity Association.
